We are honored that you are interested in sending your preschooler to our school. Monroe Presbyterian Preschool is a special place. We are committed to providing a family-centered half-day preschool experience for your child. We believe that if families can accommodate that schedule, it is truly what is best for young children.
At our school we provide an education based on the New York State Pre-Kindergarten Learning Standards, providing opportunities for students to develop social-emotional skills, explore fine motor and gross motor skills, and expand their language skills. Our loving and supportive learning environments incorporate play-based learning where students learn how to share, take turns, and self-regulate which increases independence and builds confidence. After attending MPP your child will be ready to transition into Kindergarten and be prepared for future success.
Our Classes
2-Year-Old Class
In our 2-year-old class, we focus on establishing routines, fostering social interaction, and developing language skills. Basic concepts such as color and shape recognition and counting skills are incorporated into play-based learning activities that encourage exploration and support both fine and gross motor development.
PK-3 Class
In our PK-3 class, we focus on establishing routines, building language skills, teaching social skills, such as sharing, cooperation, and emotional regulation. Concepts such as letter, number, shape, and color recognition and counting skills are incorporated into play-based learning activities that encourage exploration and support both fine and gross motor development.
PK-4 Class
In our PK-4 class, we focus on getting ready for Kindergarten. We focus on building foundational skills in literacy, math, and social-emotional learning. Play-based learning activities encourage exploration, independence, and support both fine and gross motor development. Students are encouraged to verbally communicate with their classmates and use problem-solving skills to complete activities.
